Christmas 2020 will be natural. A cute robin sits in an oak tree that is snowed in during the winter, with a few acorns hanging from its branches. A deer scurries quietly over the mushroom-covered ground, while an owl announces its friendly hoo-hoo. Red rose hips and winter berries glow from the glittering snow. In the cold season we like to bring the idyllic forest atmosphere into our homes.
Christmas 2020 will be classical. If we think of the Christmas season, apples and nuts that used to adorn the Christmas tree immediately come to mind. Closely followed by the nutcracker and the boot, which the children put in front of the door to be filled. But also other traditions have found their way to us. More and more often socks hang from the fireplace and mistletoe twigs in the door frame and we associate the festive season with cozy classic checks. Tradition is simply timeless and boundless.
Christmas 2020 will be elegant. We feel like in a sophisticated French café of the 20s. Surrounded by rich decoration and precious, luxurious materials, we feel like the great Gatsby. Golden sparkles and glitters everywhere like dazzling stars at winterly midnight. Special shapes testify to high-quality craftsmanship. A majestic panther and fancy birds spread a touch of exotic charm.
Christmas 2020 will be like before. It was the greatest thing in our childhood to go down the snow-covered hills by sledge, to shake the snow from the fir trees or to make the most beautiful snow angel. Inspired by nature, bright colours, soft shapes and matt surfaces reflect the winter season. Glittering accents are reminiscent of the snowflakes that painted their pictures on the windows in the sunlight.
Christmas 2020 will be cheerful. In addition to elegant roses, delicate leaves and small flowers, our pets now also take their place on our Christmas tree. Delicate colours, extravagant shapes and patterns underline the gentle and sensitive mood. Cheerful details skilfully round off the feminine colour theme and make our hearts smile.
Christmas will be juicy. Green as far as the eye can see. But green is not just green. Apple green, olive green, fir green, frog green or forest green. Despite different tones, the result is a harmonious combination of colours, just like in nature. Who decides on one color, doesn‘t have to do without variety.
Christmas is a family festivity, but it’s also a celebration for young people and thus can be celebrated a little cheeky, funny and humorous. Energetic colours such as red, blue, pink and purple combine to form a striking theme that rebels against the classics. Black, white and silver give a graphically reduced frame to these bright colours. Simple patterns let the colours speak for themselves and unusual motifs show Christmas from another side.
