Sustainability at Inge's Christmas Decor

Responsibility begins with action.

We focus on the areas where we can genuinely make a difference as a company: our packaging, the way we use resources, and our support for selected nature and species conservation projects.

We take concrete, transparent action and continue to build on it step by step.

Reusable Packaging

Our packaging can be reused time and again, helping to keep Holly & Jolly glass ornaments safe during storage and transport.

Recyclable Packaging

When the packaging for Holly & Jolly glass ornaments is no longer needed, it can simply be disposed of with paper recycling.

Plastic-Free Packaging

Our sustainable packaging is made without plastic or other environmentally harmful synthetic materials. It is produced entirely from renewable raw materials.

Always thinking ahead.

Sustainability is an ongoing process.

Packaging, materials and processes can always be improved. That is why we continuously review and refine our measures, while supporting projects where our contribution can make a visible difference.

For Butterflies and Their Habitats

Colourful butterflies are not only a symbol of summer, but also important pollinators of wild and cultivated plants. By supporting plant diversity, they help maintain the ecological balance and create healthy habitats for many other species. Yet as flowering meadows disappear and pesticides continue to be used, their habitats are shrinking dramatically – many species are now threatened or have already vanished. For every ornament sold, we donate €1 to a project that protects butterflies by creating flower-rich habitats in urban and rural areas.

Protecting Hedgehogs

Hedgehogs are the quiet heroes of our gardens and green spaces. As insect-eaters, they help keep these habitats healthy by contributing to natural pest control and supporting biodiversity.

As intensive agriculture has reduced their natural habitat, many hedgehogs are increasingly dependent on urban areas for shelter and food.

For every ornament sold, we donate €1 to a project that protects hedgehogs by creating safe winter shelters in urban environments.

Protecting Wild Bees

Wild bees are invaluable pollinators and play an essential role in supporting biodiversity. Yet many species are under threat as intensive agriculture and urban development continue to reduce their natural habitats. Suitable food sources and nesting sites are becoming increasingly scarce.

For every ornament sold, we donate €1 to a project that protects wild bees by preserving their habitats, providing a year-round supply of flowering plants and creating suitable nesting sites.

Protecting Our Seas

We support the German Foundation for Marine Conservation and its Project Manaia, which focuses on protecting the Mediterranean Sea. One of its key initiatives, The Sea Gardeners, works to protect and restore seagrass meadows, helping to support both marine biodiversity and climate protection. For every marine-themed ornament sold, we donate €1 to the German Foundation for Marine Conservation to help protect the Mediterranean, preserve biodiversity and support climate action.
